Catsharks lay eggs in mermaid’s purses, and then tie those purses to coral reefs. This seems like a mean prank to play on the mermaid, but the baby catsharks need the fuel of eating a fresh mermaid when they’re born. It’s cruel, but that’s just how nature is sometimes.
